One Minute of Your Time Please

Most of us underestimate the value of sleep. We think of sleep as something we will get around to after we have gotten everything else done. This is a fundamental mistake. Being tired is not good for you. Trying to function while tired is asking for trouble.

You don’t think clearly and you’re body doesn’t operate efficiently. It’s harder to listen to something, or to drive a car, or to read with comprehension. Trying to “push through it” only makes you more exhausted, and eventually you will just shut down.

Make yourself go to bed at a reasonable hour. Take naps. Place a priority on getting rest. You can’t out maneuver fatigue, so the best option is to avoid it. You won’t miss out on life by spending more time sleeping. You will gain more of it.
