One Minute of Your Time Please

Are you having trouble remembering things? It’s probably a normal part of the aging process. Our brains, like the rest of our bodies, perform less efficiently as we get older. It’s interesting to me to read that one of the best ways to maintain your memory is through physical exercise.

It seems a bit counter-intuitive. Wouldn’t you think exercising would make you tired, which would have an adverse effect on your mind. But doctors say a workout increases blood flow to the brain, and that works like oiling up an engine. I have noticed that the folks I know in their 80’s and 90’s who seem to have the sharpest minds are also those who are in great physical shape.

So keep moving. Stay active. Before you forget how to.
